Asking questions frequently is often an indicator of anxiety.
The child or young person is seeking reassurance. They may know the answer already, but the predictable routine of the question and response can be comforting, especially if they are feeling stressed or overwhelmed. There are times, however, when it can be distracting or it may not be possible for the adult to answer all questions. It is important to acknowledge that the child or young person has questions to ask, and that questions can be good, but at the right time and place.
