The Centre is proud to celebrate the achievements of one of its close friends.
This young man has always had a huge passion for sport and a determination to establish a career in sports journalism. At the age of 14, he contacted a horse racing journalism page and applied for a job as a writer. He got the position and now writes articles regularly. He was featured recently in the ‘Irish Racing Yearbook’ magazine where he discusses his Instagram platform and how having autism has helped his understanding of horse racing.
This inspiring story demonstrates that interests can be channelled into skill development and even open up employment opportunities. There is no greater motivation than passion. As the saying goes…’Find a job you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life!’
