Emotional wellbeing depends on individual preferences: what is calming for one person, may not be calming for another.
Preferences can also change from day to day, and so it is important to offer choice in coping and wellbeing activities, giving the young person autonomy over what helps them when feeling anxious. This resource offers some ideas, but ask the child or young person what strategies work for them.
