The half-term holiday is already here for some and is on its way for others.  Structure in daily routines is important, even at holiday times.

A visual schedule, which clearly shows the activities planned for the day, will provide predictability for the child or young person. This can then reduce anxiety and increase participation in these daily activities. Individualising the schedule with pictures of favourite characters or topics can engage attention and increase motivation to follow the schedule. This is illustrated in the 2 examples given, one using Lego and the other using unicorns and animals, but any special interest can be incorporated.
