Sharing positive and encouraging words and messages is important, and more so at this time of being away from our typical routines of school, work and life. It is always nice to hear that we are doing a good job or doing the best that we can. These positive postcards are examples of how we can appeal to the autistic persons visual learning style, with messages of encouragement for specific goals, attainments, or simple messages, using their own special interests. These can become a part of the everyday routine, included on a daily schedule, or choice system, where the narrative can be rehearsed and shared in this creative visual manner. They can also be carried around in a pocket wallet or keychain. They link well with the resources previously shared i.e.: the emotional toolbox and can be used as a daily “tool”.
