The Centre is delighted to launch its latest Research Bulletin, this time on the topic of Lego and Pets.
This month we have filled our social media pages with ideas for using Lego and pets to provide enjoyment, and to improve emotional wellbeing. The Bulletin includes interviews with Dr Gina Gomez de al Cuesta, Dr Margaret Laurie and Dr Catherine Latimer, who highlight the power of Lego in play and learning, while Dr Ana Maria Barcelos explains the positive impact of pets on mental wellbeing. There are elven summaries of recent research on these topics which provide an evidence base for using Lego and pets to enrich the lives of many autistic people.
