A new year, a new month and a new topic for the Centre’s social media pages.
In January, the focus will be on Sensory Processing. Many autistic children and young people have differences in how they perceive and respond to sensory input. These different perceptions can be enriching and can lead to strengths and skills, but they can also create challenges as children and young people try to navigate overwhelming environments and activities. This webinar recorded by Dr Teresa Tavassoli for the Centre last year, provides an excellent insight to the sensory processing differences experienced by many autistic people.
