This Thankful Pumpkin resource helps to teach our children how to be thankful, while also being resourceful with their left-over pumpkins!
As Halloween draws to an end, and some turn their attention to Thanksgiving celebrations, it is a perfect time to take stock of all the things that we are thankful for.
The visual template represents how we can use our pumpkin as a “thankful jar”, by placing a written word, sentence, symbol, or picture in to this each day to create a week of thankfulness.
The use of visual aids will appeal to the learning style of our children and young people with autism, offering a concrete reference to their list of “thankful things” as the week progresses.
