In our most recent webinar Adam Harris spoke about providing predictability to make the world more accessible to people with autism.
With this in mind, today’s resource outlines our top tips on how to write a social narrative.
Social narratives use text and visuals to define what is expected in a given situation. A social narrative may be useful to help a child or young person learn a new skill, or master a situation they find difficult, and are are most successful when individualised to the specific skill, situation and/or person.
To support our social narrative guidelines, we have an additional link to video instructions for writing social stories.
We hope that these resources will support you to write social narratives for the child or young person you know.
